Football is the most popular sport worldwide, and for good reason, but like everything else in life there are some bad apples who are dedicated to spoiling the fun. Some of you already know what I am talking about, especially if you spend a lot of time on social media. So who exactly are these rotten apples of the footballing community?
The Ballon D’Or is the most prestigious award that a footballer can receive for their individual performances on the pitch as well as their overall behaviour over the course of a calendar year. That being said, there have been some controversial choices over the years and today we are going to take a look at instances where FIFA got it all wrong!
There have been many great footballers who have come up during the Premier League Era since its inception in the year 1992. From the Ballon D’Or winning Michael Owen, to the midfield trio of Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, not forgetting legends Like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo! But who is the greatest of them all to do it in the premier league?
The answer is quite simple, that title belongs to the one and only King of Highbury: Thierry Henry! But why him? you may ask. Well then, let us take a look at the reasons why he deserves to be hailed as nothing but the greatest.

I had to respond with my own article explaining why such reasoning is flawed and who I think is the best player in 2020.
